Love & Libations was born at the intersection of faith, love, and real life.

What started as an intimate group of eight couples gathering over good drinks and meaningful conversation quickly became something sacred. It became a space where we could be honest about both the joy and the intentional work that marriage requires, a space where love wasn’t just celebrated, but nurtured.

But the vision didn’t stop there.

After the 2024 election, our founder, Crystal Coleman, found herself in a space so many of us know all too well — feeling heavy, discouraged, and searching for clarity on how to create meaningful change. She turned to fasting and prayer, specifically asking God for direction on how to bring more love and joy into her community during a time that felt so uncertain.

And then, in a moment she couldn’t ignore, everything shifted.

After months of seeking confirmation on whether Love & Libations was meant to remain a meaningful hobby or grow into something greater, she received her answer. On March 1, 2025, while attending a wedding, a stranger approached her with a message:

“God is telling me to tell you there’s a business idea that you have, and you’ve been questioning if it’s something you should do. He wants me to tell you that it’s time. Stop doubting yourself. Stop questioning it, and move on the idea.”

In that moment, in full obedience, Love & Libations became more than couples gather, it became a calling.

What We’re Building

Love & Libations is a faith-centered community created to celebrate, uplift, and amplify Black love stories.

We are building a village for married couples and those aspiring to be married who understand that love is both a gift and a responsibility. A space where joy is celebrated loudly, and challenges are met with support.

Our stories deserve to be seen in their fullness, not just the highlight reels, but the real, everyday commitment to choosing each other, honoring God, and growing together.

To intentionally create safe, joy-filled spaces, both digitally and in person, where couples can openly share their journeys, exchange wisdom, and build thriving, resilient partnerships rooted in faith.

Through curated experiences, intentional conversations, and genuine community, we are redefining what it means to do life, and love, together.

Yes, we love a good drink and a great time; HOWEVER “libations” is deeper than what’s in the glass.

It’s about what we pour into one another. It’s showing up, being present, and giving from the overflow of love we’ve been blessed with, so no couple in our community ever feels like they’re doing this alone.
